I am wandering through a forest preserve in southern Illinois. I am hoping the trail I am following will take me back to my hotel. Looking up, I see that a fog has rolled across the tops of the trees. The sky is no longer visible. The forest is dark like late dusk.
"This isn't good," I think.
A screech breaks my train of thought. I look up to see a pterodactyl flying through the fog.
"Holy shit, a pterodactyl!"
Then I remember I have been here before. I continue walking down the trail. Now there are hundreds of pterodactyle circling over me. They are so much larger than me. I am nervous because to a pterodactyl I look like food.
...I am driving through the darkness in my car...
The pterodactyls are swooping down at my car. I am swerving to avoid being hit.
...My car is floating six feet above the ground...
"If only I was driving on the ground, they would ignore me," I think.
I finally escape the dinosaur zone. I am out of my car and the fog has lifted. I look around the forest to find landmarks. I want to be able to take people back here to prove I saw pterodactyls. I only see giant powerlines. I can not determine which direction is north, south, east, or west.
