January 5th, 2006

I am wandering the ground floor of Mall X. I notice the discount store is closing. Everything has been marked down for liquidation. I check out what they have left but find nothing I desire. I leave.
...As I walk out the doors the scene shifts from the discount store to the Theatre...
I am just in time to catch the last movie of the day. Suzanne and her friend Jenny join me. We start to climb to the balcony to find our seats.
...As we climb the stairs the scene shifts. We are now in my car, with myself driving...
We are trying to decide where to eat. Schaumberg and Lemont lay in front of us. Which town do we choose. Then Suzanne tells us about a restaurant in Lemont. It sounds cool and her relatives own it. I drive across a giant arcing bridge to enter Lemont.
"Turn on 87th street," Suzanne says.
I am unable to see the street in time to turn. Suzanne yells at me. I turn on 81st street. Amazingly the restaurant was on this street. Cool.
"See, it worked out," I say to Suzanne.
The restaurant was built in one of Lemont's historical buildings. It is decorated as if a nineteenth century parlor. This theme even extends to the menu, which is a nineteenth century buffet. The customers sit in booths shaped like carriage cars.
"This place is cool," I think.
We are the only customers in the restaurant. Additionally no employees have come out to greet us.
"Maybe we're here to early," I say.
We pass through a set of double doors into a crowded hall.
"So this is the restaurant."
When we go to purchase our meal, Suzanne tries to get a family discount. She fails for her aunt and uncle are not working today. Fifty dollars a person says the cashier.
"I don't know about this," I say to Suzanne.
"Let's do it," Suzanne says to me.
"You can do better on the price," says Jenny to the cashier.
After we pay the cashier tells us Suzanne's Uncle has left.
"Your uncle had a vision. He left to wander the four holy hills of the Bible. He even wanders the Hill of Jericho...the cursed hill."
