December 25th, 2005

I have just stepped of a bus into a park. I sit on a nearby bench feeling the bright sunshine warm my face. Through the gaps in the trees I can see the town built around the park. Every building is old-style brick. Cool.
"It is so peaceful and beautiful here," I think.
The bus driver announces it is time to go. I start to walk to the bus, but stop when I see Jim Krumdick. He is talking to a Burger King employee. The worker hands Jim something then leaves.
"What was that," I wonder.
Jim sees me and calls me over.
"You ever eat at Burger King Jason," he asks.
After thinking for a moment I answer, "yes, last night."
"Where's your receipt," he asks.
I search my pockets but can not find it. I can not find my debit card either. Did I lose my receipt I wonder. I find a receipt but the signature looks like a twelve year olds. All sloppy and misshappen.
...The signature changes to my signature when I blink...
I show the receipt to Jim. He looks it over, nods approval, then throws it away.
"Did you hear Jason. Adam Carrolla's and Adam Sandberg's production company have joined together. They were both at that Burger King and got horrible service. It was what got them to first start talking to each other."
It is time to get on the bus. I sit in the front seat. The bus drives down South River Road in Momence. I see out the window a golden statue. It is an overweight balding man in his fifties looking into a mirror. The statue was built in honor of the producer from the Jack-a-bilmore production company.
...I hear the producer's speech in my mind...
..."I never went to college for what I did. Nor do I fundamentally understand why you have to. Anybody can make a movie. People make it so complicated. My secretary comes to me and says you should make a movie about this and bam I do."...
South River road is starting to flood. A lot of new construction is underway.
"Wow, things are changing," I think.
I see a giant flame shoot up into the sky. It is a special effect from the nearby movie set. Cool. I see a construction foreman talking to the other workers. I hear him shout concerns over the flooding.
"Why worry, the movie has insurance to cover flood damage," I think.
