June 21st, 2005

I enter the damp cave and emerge in the forest clearing. The smell of pine and dampness enters my nostrils. Brighid is waiting for me.
"Happy solstice," I say.
She smiles back to me.
"Brighid, am I doing things right with my art," I ask.
"Yes. You are travelling the right path."
Then the Wolf walks out of the forest.
"Are you here to guide me or tell me something," I ask.
"No," he says. "Would you like to fly around the stars with me?"
I say yes and climb onto his back. I get a good grip in the fur at the scruff of his neck. I notice how his fur is coarser than a dogs. He starts to run and soon we are flying through the sky. We break through the clouds and climb higher.
"Brother Wolf, what is keeping me from being rich," I ask.
"That is not a wolf's concern," he replies.
We are now traveling through the starry sky. A pelican, grey in color, flies up next to us.
"Brother Pelican, are you here to teach me how to be rich," I ask.
The Pelican nods its head. I say goodbye to the Wolf and climb onto the Pelican's back. I am surprised at how smooth his feathers feel. We change direction and fly to a devastated landscape. The fields are barren and cities in ruins. Fires burn across landscape. We land in a clearing. The Pelican nudges me towards a black stone block. On top I find a hand print made out of jade. I place my right hand on the hand print. Blue light shoots up my arm. Electricity wracks my body. It hurts! I want to let go.
"You must continue," says the Pelican.
I place my left hand on top of the right to hold it in place. My entire body is electrified. My brain starts to twist and pulsate. My thoughts begin to twist and pulsate. Time and space begins to twist and pulsate. Then suddenly it all stops. I shake from the pain. Then I puke up a yellowish green liquid. Black maggots swim in the vomit. I feel a release and can now cry.
