A zombie plague has filled Momence. I flee the zombies with my friends: a blonde man, a blonde woman, and a dark haired lanky man. We decide to climb to the fourth floor of the High School. Once we reach the fourth floor, I see it is the High School's roof. Zombies followed us. We are now trapped, because zombies filled the first and second floors. I race down the stairs locking a gate. Now the zombies can not reach the third floor. On my way back to the roof, I pass through the attic. I hear a noise in the corner. I look and watch as zombie children emerge from the darkness. They cry. I am scared but also sympathetic.
'They most likely mean no harm and are lonely," I think.
But I decide not to risk it and attack the zombie children. As I am crushing a child's rotten head under my foot, a giant crow flies in through a broken window. The crow is taller than me. It lands and stares at me.
"Oh-no, the zombie plague has mutated so as to now infect crows," I think.
Yet the crow only watches me. I moves neither closer to nor further from me. It being a zombie doesn't feel right to me.
"It must be here only to watch," I realize
The path to the roof is blocked. My friends and I decide to reach the roof by climbing onto the ledge outside Mrs. Kruse's room.
