I am watching a movie.
...my awareness enters the movie...
An elderly spy couple are sitting on the beach. It is midday at the tropical beach. Burt Lancaster played the gentleman spy. The couple are enjoying some drinks, when they sense something. They then hide in the sand. A group of Desperadoes, straight from a Old West movie, are approaching on horseback. They want to kill the spies. The Desperadoes ride up to the beech but can not find the couple. They sit and look. Nothing. Then the elderly gentleman leaps from his sandy hiding spot. A quick shot from his rifle and one desperado is dead. He shouts at the others to surrender. They do.
"My wife and I are traveling the Grand Pass. Any one of you is welcome to join us."
Only one of the desperadoes agrees to join the couple. He gets off his horse. He discards his knife and two pistols. Free of his weapons he needs to cross a chasm in the sand. The couple are on the other side of the divide.
"I'll be back," he says to his two horses.
The desperado drops to a ledge in the chasm and crosses to the other side. He joins the spy couple.
...my awareness leaves the movie...
...the scene shifts from the theater to my parent's backyard...
I am walking around the edge of my parent's property. There are no longer fencing marking the edges. Instead towering pine trees border the edges. I am eating my breakfast as I walk. A breakfast of popcorn. Once finished eating, I notice I am only partially dressed.
"It is time fro me to get ready," I think.
I turn and walk along the front of the property to get back home. As I near the mailbox I see a giant envelope in the crab apple tree across the gravel road. It is the size of a door. I check the mailbox for other mail. There were four mailboxes. Two on the ground and two up on a post. Odd. There was no mail in any of the mailboxes. Only the giant envelope across the road. My daughter approaches me from the house.
...My daughter is Zoe Saldana...
She is mad at me.
"Why did you tell her that," she asks.
I told one of her friends who Zoe is dating right now. Zoe and her friend are attracted to the same boy but he likes Zoe.
"Because I had to send her away," I say.
"Why? She was your friend too."
"Yes, but I found her attractive. I can not have that temptation around me."
